Dear Family and Friends,

I am very excited to announce that I will be participating in the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of Jack and Jill of America’s Inaugural Illuminating Excellence Presentation Gala!

The Illuminating Excellence Gala is a biennial event that raises funds for the community and provides leadership development programming for local students. Teen Participants will participate in this fundraising event by raising funds through ticket sales, solicitation of ads for the souvenir journal, and sponsorship donations. All funds raised will count towards awards, and potentially, scholarships. In addition, the funds that are raised will be used to support charitable organizations in the Hudson Valley community and the Jack and Jill of America Foundation.

As a Teen Participant, I will participate in various workshops and activities designed to build character, self-esteem, and leadership skills. It is an exciting opportunity to bond with other young people and build lasting friendships. The program culminates with the Presentation Gala on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in Poughkeepsie, New York.

I am a high school junior with a 3.75 GPA. I am a member of my school’s Students Against Destructive Decisions club and intend to join my school’s National Honor Society as a senior next year. As a result of my hard work as a member of the Girl Advisory Team, a few other Girl Scouts along with myself were able to interview candidates for the CEO position in our organization. I am preparing for my future by attending my Presentation Gala workshops and contributing to my community.

I am soliciting your support with a ticket or journal ad purchase, or a financial donation. My goal is to raise at least $1000. No donation is too small; every dollar will help me reach my goal.
